The Soulection team is known to flip indie songs and give them a brand new avenue in the music world. I am personally a fan of LAKIM, Sango, and Ta-Ku. The remixes are normally uptempo, with chilled out instruments that are meant for “A Night on the Town” type setting.
Ta-ku tackles Childish Gambino’s “Telegraph Ave” which is off of his 2013 album “Because of the Internet”. Ta-ku strums up a bowl of pulsating percussion and alters the pitch of Gambino’s rap at the beginning of the track. He then sprinkles the track with some synths and chimes to give that mysterious and ambient feel of the track, while you still listen to this song at a lounge downtown. As for the Soulection trademark, you can hear a female vocal on the off parts of the beat. Ta-ku keeps his creativity alive while promoting his brand.
Keep posted for more remixes from Ta-ku of Soulection.
