If you haven't heard by now, Maybach Music (home to Rick Ross and Meek Mill etc) recording artist Stalley is prepping his debut album. After being on the label for 4 years now, he finally is going to drop his album. The name of the album, simply put "OHIO". Now when it comes to OHIO, we really pay attention to this state when it is the presidential elections or when Lebron was playing for the Cavs. Even though Lebron has come back to Cleveland next season and Johnny Manziel is playing football in Ohio now, it's like what is going on? I mean I studied out in Ohio and I wound up staying myself but it's like for Stalley, what will it mean if he can sell a million copies of his CD. Well for one thing, if Stalley can sell a million copies of his CD, he will be able to revolutionize the music industry. Just like how other states got popular from artists selling and earning a certificate. Artists like Ludacris, TLC, and Outkast managed to put Georgia on the map for music. Petey Pablo for North Carolina. Nelly for Missouri. Wale, Tank, and Ginuwine for Washington DC. That's just to name a few. If Stalley can make his album sell to a point where it earns a certificate, that means ohio will be another state on the map for artists to open up their brand to. It means when it comes to relocation to further your career, cats will be able to stay local and get noticed faster. Ohio can be another Atlanta, Georgia when it comes to music. What do you think? Sound off!
