Phenom is an emcee from Brooklyn, New York and he is one talented dude I must say. His new music video “Just Fine” is off of his EP “Boy Meets World”. He only sits at 18 and has rhymes like Kanye, Jay-Z and Jadakiss.
In his music video, I noticed that it was directed with just him in it mainly. We can see that he is clearly representing the early stages of his career, even though that is present at the moment. The imagery represents struggle and hope. He raps about family, mainly about his mother. He is focused on getting her and his overall family out of the hood into a better place. He has a sound like Kanye west in his beat and he grasps on the root of hip hop, the storytelling aspect of it. His lyrical game is on point too, “fire bound to get burn” is only a piece of his lyrics we will reveal. The rest you will have to press play.
