R&B newcomer Emanny recently dropped an EP entitled "Songs About You". The project is presented by SLV and the song that caught our attention was "Miss Me". This mid tempo love ballad features Slaughterhouse member Joe Budden.
Budden introduces the song with reminiscent tags bringing the listener to attention about the song then Emanny swoops in to tell his lady "You're going to miss me girl/ and the way that we made love". From there the song just unfolds into a grown and sexy love ballad in which Emanny tells her she was more than his woman to him, let alone the sex was something more too.
The whole EP is pretty diverse for an R&B singer and we hope that Emanny is able to win over a nice demographic with his compilation. With the uphill battle of new R&B out there (such as PBR&B and Electro&B), some of us do miss that vintage, glass of wine R&B in which only a few can master. If you listened to Jagged Edge, Avant or even Tank, you know what I mean.
Overall, this song definitely knocks and we wish Emann
